About the producer:

La Selvotta is a family-owned agricultural company located in the hills of Vasto, Abruzzo, Italy, near the Adriatic Sea. Established in 1964 by Nicola Sputore, the farm spans approximately 75 hectares across areas such as Selvotta, Buonanotte, Colle Pizzuto, and Montevecchio. Currently managed by Nicola's sons, Giovanni and Elio, La Selvotta specializes in producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil, along with wine and other artisanal products 

The company cultivates various olive varieties, including Nebbio, Gentile di Chieti, Leccino, Peranzana, and the unique I-77 cultivar. Harvesting begins in early October, and the olives are cold-pressed within hours to preserve their organoleptic properties. This meticulous process results in oils with rich aromas and beneficial health properties 

La Selvotta's commitment to quality and tradition has earned its oils numerous accolades, including a Gold Award at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition in 2019, as well as recognition from Gambero Rosso and Slow Food .
